NWMSU named safest campus in MO


MARYVILLE, Mo. - Northwest Missouri State University was named the safest campus in Missouri, according to a report released by security firm Your Local Security.

Of 385 public, private and non-profit universities surveyed, Northwest ranked 42nd, using factors like property, violent, and hate crimes, as well as crimes against women.

Chief of University Police Dr. Clarence Green, said in the release, "Safety is a priority for Northwest, not just for current students, but for our incoming students, parents, and all who visit."
